So, it's my birthday in a couple of weeks. A big one. My 21st.
And, usually I never really do anything for my birthday since well, it's three weeks into term time, and people generally have other things to do. Or people forget about it...(really, it's happened twice with my parents)
But...21...twenty-one....twenty-one. That's kind of big. Like...milestone big, right?
So how come so many people can't do anything for it one one of the few years that I ask to do something?
It hurts, like, physically hurts.
I think it's mostly because my two greatest friends can't be there.
And, I understand, you know? I'm not blaming them, or angry with them or anything.
I'm just...upset...that...that I can't see them, I guess.
Yeah.
So, that's me for today.
Slightly in mourning.
On the plus side. Student Finance England have finally whipped their butts into shape after nine freaking months and have realised that Worcester *do* in fact need to be paid.
Nine months. Ridiculous.
But it's a weight off my chest, even if another has replaced it.
I think I need to watch a weepy film or something.
Maybe 500 Days of Summer...

Random Ramblings of a Ribbon Addict
Nothing to do with ribbons, sorry! Come and enter a world of a 20-something girl's awesome (pfft) life! Really, there's nothing about ribbons here. Move on, already...

This is going to sound silly...
...But yesterday I trapped my hand in a toilet.
Okay, so I'm a cleaner and that particular toilet seat has needed replacing since I started working there, but come on.
Even I giggled at the hilarity.
So yeah, now my wrist is completely off, and I've never exactly had fun with that arm as a whole anyway. I couldn't even tie my hair up properly, so it kept getting in my way at work today (yes, I went back - don't look at me like that! I'm a poor student!).
Okay, what else has been going on...
I have to tidy my room because we have someone coming over to see the house tomorrow.
It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that I have way too many books. Honestly. Enough to fill three bookcases in my bedroom and still have to put them downstairs in the study with all my Dad's army books. Books...and clothes. I mean, I'm female, would you expect any less? (I apologise to any females who's managed to keep their rooms spotless and not have piles of clothes from ages past clogging up your wardrobes. Also...give me a few tips on how to keep said room spotless?!)
I should mention now what it is I do, exactly. School-wise.
I'm a university Drama and Performance Studies student, about to go into my second year. I used to attend Aberystwyth, but after I was told I had to repeat a year and that I wasn't allowed to take any of my practical modules, I ran for the hills. Quite literally, actually, since, you know...Wales, England...lots of hills and...
I digress.
So, after being told that I wasn't allowed to actually DO any Drama in my Drama degree, I moved back home in hearty Gloucestershire, just south of the Welsh boarder, and decided that Yes, I was stupid enough to carry on with my course and that I would love to attend Worcester, which is an hour's commute from my parent's house every day.
But you know what? I love it. The people here are fantastic and chilled and relaxed and i actually Fit In here. Which is more than I can say than when I was in Aber, where even my old housemates and best friends no longer talk to me. My only ties to Aber is a wonderful little lady called Ainz, who's very stubborn and very, very lovely - I hope you're reading this Ainz, you just got Blog Loved :P
The strange thing is, Ainz and I only had one module together in my first year, and even then we only spoke to each other once, maybe twice? And yet, she's become a great friend, and in all honesty, I don't know what I'd do without her, now... (:
Of course, one can never forget my friends at home, Laura and Jasper, especially, who have always, always been there for me. They are...everything. Now, if you two are reading this, you smile for me, okay? Because you two are beautiful and without I'd be a shell of who I am. I'm incredibly lucky to have found you both so early in my life. <3
To my Worcester friends, I think, you know, pretty much my entire class last year...everyone was just so...welcoming and fun and...it brings a grin to my face, knowing that other people *can* have fun whilst working. Because damn, I'd've given up by now otherwise :P
Elli, Mark, Callum, MacDougall...you guys are splendiferous. I can't wait for this semester to start up again, I really can't, and it's all because of you guys! Stay awesome!
I'd also like to say hi to my personal Batman, Joe - you know who you are :P Isn't it awesome how you can meet someone on a night out whilst in Edinburgh celebrating a friend's birthday and become fast friends, even hundreds of miles apart?
Keep shiny, Batman, you never fail to make me smile, even at my saddest hour :P
And, of course, Jack. An old friend from my Sixth Form days, but still a great friend. -laughs- Even when we get frustrated with ourselves for mot being able to understand each other, I'm confident that we will always be good friends. Thank you, Jack, for being you. (:
Now to my across the seas friends. I have two in particular, both in America and both so very, very awesome. I 'met' them over FanFiction and a mutual love for Maximum Ride. And from that, two of us in particular, have become as thick as thieves. Suze and Artemis, you girls are fantastic.
Suze, our obsessions have grown and bloomed together, and I love how, with each new obsession, we know the other will feel exactly the same about it. Girl, you're fabulous and stunning! And don't you forget it :P
This seems to have turned into a rather sentimental post...Forgive me...
But, I can't promise it won't happen again :P
Stay shiny, my friend!

Whaa?
I don't understand any of this.
Like, at all.
I've never been one for 'blogging', always preferring to keep my business to myself, but apparently I've had this blog since 2010, so...I must have had it for some reason, I guess?
I haven't got a clue.
Who knows, maybe you'll see more posts from me...
Maybe it's a good idea.
Who knows...
